Before you joined Neowin, did you lurk for a while first or did you join the moment you found Neowin ?

I lurked on the forum for about 2 months before registering, and read the front page pretty much since its inception.

Lurked for about 4 or 5 years. I think I first came to Neowin, back in the end of '04, maybe start of '05

I lurked for about a year, not because I was that interested in Neowin (at first) but because I have a bad tendency to open a tab and leave it open for a few weeks/months before I decide I don't need it anymore. As it happened with Neowin, I found myself browsing the forums and looking at the news often enough to register. Before that it went from a few visits every couple weeks to growing into a pretty regular thing over the course of a year.

I lurked for about a year before joining and after that too, lurking :p. I do run through the forum topics sometimes, but mostly its the news that interests me.

Pretty sure I joined within the first month of discovering Neowin.. maybe a bit more, but probably not much. Kept ending up here everytime I looked for an answer about something computer related so I figured joining might be a good idea.
Though I feel more like a lurker than a real member, heh. :)

I think I lurked for a few years before I joined. I was in no rush to sign up.. I was probably thinking I'd have nothing to share. Which was completely correct when I did sign up. :rofl:

I found Neowin in 2001 and read the news each day since then. I finally signed up almost 2 years later in 2003 to ask a networking related question.
