Flash wont zoom (in any browser)

Hi there knowledgeable folk... This is a bit of an odd one. I have recently reinstalled Windows 7 and for some reason when I ctrl + or - to zoom, the page zooms but flash content doesn't. This is happening in Chrome, Firefox and IE. I have the latest Flash and Java installed. Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

not sure about the other browsers but in Firefox there is an option on the view menu under zoom as to only zoom the text or the whole page including the flash container Press Alt+V then press Z then press T to toggle it on/off

No dice I'm afraid....I've never come across this problem before. So weird that it occurs in all three browsers. Figured that it was most likely a java or flash problem but having reinstalled both (and tried earlier versions) I am now at a loss... Thanks for trying to help though.... :-)
