I'm using T-mobile, so the Nexus not have formal LTE support (though LTE can be enabled, probably destroys battery life though) isn't a big deal to me since T-mo doesn't have LTE, but does support HSPA+42. I currently have an HTC One S, so a non-removable battery and non-expandable storage has yet to bother me. I've only used 2 gigs of space, no need for a 32 GB microSD over here
Back to the OP, I've been using Holo Launcher HD on my HTC One S since it was released.. love it!
