Hello I was wondering how hard it is to set up a VPN atmy house. People say its the way to go in security. I have a Cisco E4200 router and wondering how hard it is to setup and run. Please advise

A VPN so that you can tunnel into your remote network while you are away? What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

to be honest i am not 100% sure what the purpose it to it. we have bad weather here so figure i try to setup a VPN. thought i read its the way to go if you play games online and wanna surf more secure. please explain if i am wrong.

Not more secure than being at home and surfing. This can also slow you down if your upload pipe at home is slow. Worth it maybe if you are at a hotel or some other unsecure network but at a business or at a school they may not allow this. If you play games online and want to hide what you are doing from the entity you are using to connect to the Internet with (school, work, hotel, McDonald's wifi, etc)
