xendrome
A VPN so that you can tunnel into your remote network while you are away? What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
LilSnoop40
to be honest i am not 100% sure what the purpose it to it. we have bad weather here so figure i try to setup a VPN. thought i read its the way to go if you play games online and wanna surf more secure. please explain if i am wrong. thanks
sc302 Veteran Posted December 26, 2012 Veteran Share Posted December 26, 2012 Not more secure than being at home and surfing. This can also slow you down if your upload pipe at home is slow. Worth it maybe if you are at a hotel or some other unsecure network but at a business or at a school they may not allow this. If you play games online and want to hide what you are doing from the entity you are using to connect to the Internet with (school, work, hotel, McDonald's wifi, etc)
