The CW, is looking to cast the lead in its upcoming series based on the early days of Wonder Woman, which they have titled Amazon. No surprise, many actresses would jump at the chance to play the Amazon Princess. According to STV, Scottish born actress Amy Manson, is a strong candidate to land the role. They say that she has already had multiple call backs during the audition process.

Manson is no stranger to to television having landed roles on such shows as Torchwood, and Being Human. To clarify she has not got the role yet, however it looks as if she is one of the leading candidates for the job. Just recently CW president Mark Pedowitz talked about the networks desire to get the series going. He even hinted at a possible Amazon Arrow cross over. With the script still in development, its hard to say when exactly we will get an official casting. Make sure you check back here at CBM for the latest on all thing Wonder Woman.

Another leak yesterday had ex-MMA fighter / now actress & model Gina Carano in the part of Diana. She's 5' 8" and said to be Henry Cavill's new G/F, he of course being the new Superman.

She got fairly good reviews in Steven Soderbergh’s action film Haywire where she's a burned agent who takes revenge on her handlers Burn Notice style.

It'd surprised me greatly if Gina Carano got the role. She's more an action actress in contrast to the more character oriented shows the CW do.

It's more obvious they would go with someone tamer and not so in your face seeing as its an origin story...but Carano would fit the part if its all action aka Arrow
