Mouse Mat Recommendations

I've been using an old Razer Exactmat with my new RAT7 mouse but I decided it was time to get a new mat.

So I purchased a Razer Goliathus as it was a soft fabric mat and figured it might be nicer to use, however it causes REALLY bad mouse creep when the mouse is not moving and as it is always a downwards creep it makes movig the mouse upwards terrible.

can anyone suggest a new replacement that will work well with this mouse?

Does turning down the DPI remove the creep? (I know it's not exactly a good solution to the problem)

I'm the owner of a Goliathus, the large one with the green splat logo (fragged?) and I don't have mouse creep. In fact it's an amazing mat which I cannot fault.

Edit: Seems I have the speed edition which has smaller weave.

I've always used XTracPads. I used the Ripper XXL and the Pro versions. Never had a problem. My two cents.

I love the Steel Series mats. I'm using a 4HD or whatever it's called at the moment.

Im currently using the Razor Sphex which is about ?10 its ultra thin (sheet of paper thick) and sticks to the service so it does not move.

Not sure which version I got I will have to check.

Turning down the dpi makes no difference :( but I also like high dpi settings, except in games like fallout
