Database online course?

I'm looking to take an online course on introduction to databases, on a University level? I Googled of course, but I need ur advise? I started the Stanford course, but it's way too hard for me as an intro.

I'm specifically interested in development and Sql.

That Stanford course is actually quite good. If you're not interested in relational algebra or XML, I suggest you just pick up a book on SQL (or read the Oracle SQL docs, they're quite thorough), and go from there.

Are you trying to learn programming and databases? That's a whole other can of worms.

I'm trying to take an Introductory course in databases because I'm applying for grad school. So they prefer a university-level course.

Now, should I go for Introduction to Database development or Introduction to SQL?

IMO "SQL", as it's usually taught, is easy. Database design is not.

I've enrolled for the SQL course. but what about the development, is it more difficult as it's theoretically based?

SQL is easy. Just make sure you pay attention to database design and normalization... that's the hard part, but vitally important.
