On topic... Aquifer and ground water contamination is pretty bad... You could have Aquifers connecting to other states even countries!

Isn't the same happening with Chernobyl's sarcophagus ? 20 year life is at and end or close to it ?

EDIT - Apparently it was good for 30 years which will be up in 2016, new cover will be ready for 2015 they think
