I am still not getting the point of having a quad core 1.x GHz CPU + 4GB of RAM inside my phone. I understand the storage needs but what are these phones going to do different than say Galaxy SIII? All they are doing is bumping specs for selling more (just like how TVs went from tube sizes to LCDs to 3D TVs to smart TVs to whatever current fad).

Google isn't doing enough on the software side to warrant such high specs. :/

This is like running just a web browser on a high end x64CPU..oh wait. :p

it also doesn't make sense, MBB has lower BW limits than any other BB, well most BB over here don't have any, its heavily effected by amount of connected users, tethered phones are terrible modems/routers, it far more expensive than any other solution. latency is a bitch.

There's just no good reason to use MBB as your main BB, unless it's your only option, in which case you probably don't have access to LTE anyway as you're way out in somewhere you're lucky to get 2.5G speeds when the weather is perfect for it.

So what you're saying is, it's possible...just unlikely and or not logical (In your opinion of course). Which in the end, does not mean it doesn't happen (ever), just that you personally see no reason/benefit to using a mobile network as your main form of Internet. For the record, I know of several people in Europe who don't have the luxury of both Internet at home and carrying a cell phone, so they choose the most logical option. Cell + Internet in one. They are able to communicate from wherever they need to and can access the Internet anytime they need to. Aside from the fact that WiFi is available all over the place (around the globe), you really need to stop spouting your opinions as fact.

Over WiFi, I'm sure they do. However, once again....you're implying something ridiculous such as in order to fully use an Internet connection, one must be a download torrents.

actually, I wasn't the one who claimed that.

and then again, that kinda invalidates the whole LTE thing anyway.

You first implied that no one uses their cell phone as a main source of Internet to which I just explained was incorrect. Then you implied that full Internet over your cell phone wasn't logical and not worth it, to which I just explained was incorrect. Then you implied that it was all pointless because you can't download torrents, which apparently means not full Internet () to which I again...explained was incorrect.

You see what's happening here right?

You: Here is fact!

Me: Uh, that's not fact.

You: Ok well THIS is fact then!

Me: No...no that's not fact either.

You: OK FINE! Then this is fact!

Me: Not quite. Try again?

You: Well it's all fact in my mind, so I'll just continue on as if the true facts don't exist.

It happens, just because you dont see it doesnt mean no one does it. Point I was trying to make is that lots of people need/use full internet and 4g speeds on their cell phones.

actually, I wasn't the one who claimed that.

I claimed that and I know people who actually do download torrents on their phones. I also know lots of people who need the faster speeds to upload data to the cloud and yes, I know people who use their phones as their main internet source.

Ohhhhh snap!!!! You caught us!!!!

For the record, my Android phone doesn't lag. Period. Doesn't matter who I'm talking to. I use custom ROM's so I don't have to deal with any of the B.S. manufacturers throw on the phone. If an app crashes or craps out, that's the app....not the OS.

That's BS no matter what rom ou use an app crashing can be caused by the OS as well as the app itself, you cannot categorically say what causes the crash, unless you run the phon in debug mode with the app and OS in debug modes ith full logging on. And if you did, not only would it lag a little, it would lag a lot.

I just did. I guess I should have run it by you first, since you seem to be the resident expert on pretty much everything tech related. Give me a break. I can with 100% certainty say, my phone does not lag. If you're unfamiliar with how custom ROMs and custom kernels work, perhaps some research is in order. They are very highly optimized specifically for the device. This isn't some magical phone. At no point during the use of the OS, does my phone lag. Do apps lag? Of course. That is an issue with the app, as I already stated. There isn't anything you can say that would change the physical device in my hand that I use daily. If it makes you feel better to call me a liar, have at it. I don't owe you anything.

I find that hard to believe

What you believe matters very very little. I talk from actual given experience.

Also how does network speed make the phone any slower... does th speed of your Internet connection change the speed of your computer and make your games run on lower settings ? there's some crazy arguments here.
It's the "fastest" because it supports faster download speeds than other phones

Reading helps. The "speed" they talk of is download speed, which IS affected by your connection.

What does lag have to do with this.

you where talking about apps crashing and how since you run a custom "original" android OS it wasn't the OS' fault.

and now you're suddenly talking about lag...

You know exactly what lag has to do with the conversation. You have been following along no? I wasn't suddenly talking about lag. I suppose playing stupid and acting like something magically made it's way into the conversation is one way of dealing with being called out on your B.S. "facts". It was already established a page ago that you haven't a clue what you're talking about.

Except I was specifically replying to your post and claims that every crash and error in apps was the fault of the app and not the OS. Since there was no point arguing the lag with you anymore since you here making up your own little fantasy interpretations of my replies. And no it was established that you have no interest in a factual conversation where you don't have a very creative interpretation of my replies, as evidenced by your previous childish reply on that matter.

Something you apparently keep on doing, since you made a post, where you specifically mentioned crashes in apps and unstable apps and that being the OS' fault. I replied to that, and you reply as if I talked about something completely different and go on pretending as if you never even mentioned crashing apps...

So I will repeat, you cannot claim an app is causing the crash and not the OS unless, the App, The OS, and the Phone are all running in debug mode with full logging. so your claims that because you run an custom rom on your device, with drivers modified from the originals and only tested by regulars users and home"cookers" it can't be the OS' fault that your apps crash is BS.

Also the only phone running a bare bones android OS with professionally optimized drivers and OS is the Nexus. all the other AOKP roms are by definition amateur roms. the phones coming close except the NExus series is the Sony lines where sony has released their own optimized drivers since Sony is the only OEM who actually put in some real effort to even optimize their drivers. as evidence by both their superior performance on lower hardware compared to other high end devices and the fact it's the only OEM which actually get commended for their work by Google.

Says the guy who on the last page repeatedly changed his argument in an attempt to make his beliefs seem like facts.

I replied to that, and you reply as if I talked about something completely different and go on pretending as if you never even mentioned crashing apps...

I will admit that when I first read your reply, I misread it. I thought you were referring to the lag portion of my post. I reread it and realized you were talking specifically about the crashing of apps.

When I come across an app that is crashing and it can't be resolved with either upgrading or downgrading the app, clearing out it's cache or something else directly related to the app itself, I'll be sure to let you know. As I've yet to come across an issue with an app related to whichever ROM I'm using at any given time.

And this is where it becomes clear you have no idea what you're talking about. Nearly all manufacturers of Android devices release the drivers for said device. Not every single one, you'll notice I said nearly all. Developers take them and optimize them while including them within their custom ROM. If you're going to bother arguing, at least know what you're arguing about. The Nexus devices certainly have stock Android, but they are not the only devices highly optimized. When drivers or source are missing for a particular device, if a developer feels as though they want to attempt it...there are workarounds that bring the same if not better experience of stock Android to that device. When the drivers or source are released, it's optimized even further. Please do your homework. With the 4 Android devices I've owned, each one became an entirely different device (with regards to speed and functionality) when a custom ROM was used. Even the manufacturers of said devices are barely capable of reaching anything even remotely close to the developer community when it comes to Android.

Let's not even get into the fact that custom ROMs developed for Nexus devices are almost always even better quality than stock Android.

The one most important feature which was not mentioned was: this phone contains special chip which enables Chinese government to track you and remote explode the phone killing its user. The second function of that chip is to enthusiastically become part of the closest botnet in its spare time.
