Mark one down in the "win" category for Tel Aviv resident Hila Ben Baruch.

After she parked her car in a legal space near her apartment in the Israeli city, Baruch came back to find the space empty and marked with a handicapped parking sign. But, being familiar with the neighborhood, she knew that it wasn't a forbidden space.

Baruch, a student, called city hall to fight the $300 ticket, but they accused of her lying. Undeterred, she accessed security footage from the building across the street that showed city works painting lines around her car, installing a handicap sign, and towing her vehicle.

After viewing the video she didn't whether to "cry or scream," but she knew justice had to be served. She posted it Monday on Facebook, where it quickly was shared more than 20,000 times.

" and know well where I can and can't park," she wrote, according to the Times of Israel.

Tel Aviv's deputy mayor Asaf Zamir apologized for the mistake, but said it was legal for city works to redesignate a space while a car is parked in it as long as the owner is notified. The car can't be ticketed or towed, though.

The fine and the towing fee have been waived, but Baruch says she?s still considering suing the city.

Were the looking to make a quick buck... Though how much did it cost in labor and supplies vs. the cost of the fine itself.

Just the fact that they can re-designate a parking spot on the fly is ludicrous.

    • Tim Cook: "The US over time began to stop having as many vocational kinds of skills." What's the point of wasting time getting those skills if you can't get a job with them? Good Lord, maybe he and his cohort of CEO's who exported all these jobs to China should just shut the f**k up :D

    • Closed-loop cooling and a custom 800G network protocol let the $7.3B campus run as one AI training machine. Microsoft confirmed June 23, 2026, that its Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is fully operational — and the engineering behind it makes the facility something fundamentally different from every data center that came before it. Where conventional cloud infrastructure racks up general-purpose servers and parcels out workloads to each one independently, Fairwater links hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 Blackwell GPUs into a single, coherent cluster using a two-story building design, 800-gigabit-per-second Ethernet fabric, and a proprietary networking protocol co-developed with OpenAI and NVIDIA. The result, according to Microsoft, is the closest thing to a purpose-built AI supercomputer that any company has ever placed in commercial operation. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319205/20260627/microsoft-opens-fairwater-wisconsin-ai-campus-runs-one-supercomputer-via-800g-ethernet.htm
