dont Starve Steam page

Hey guys, I saw people playing dont starve on youtube and I want to play it but the steam store page says

" Available: 23 April 2013

This game will unlock in approximately 1 month, 1 week, 5 days and 5 hours"

How can they be playing if its not out yet? Is it just a pre-order?

Beta access perhaps? Or maybe they got a copy before it became available on Steam.

If you pre-purchase the game through Steam, you'll get access to the Beta.

Beta indeed. I have been playing for the past month, awesome game! I think the 2-pack is still on sale for 11.99 and you get to give a friend a copy AND also play the beta. The developers are awesome about keeping the beta updated and listening to player feedback Awesome game and awesome developer, I recommend it.

Yep the page was a little confusing but its early access to the beta (which is now ofcourse) and 2 copies - 1 to give away to a friend :)

Game is awesome :D

On to day 18 already!
