Zoom7000
For me it has to be the Sony Xperia Z Tablet.
greenwizard88
Surface. I'm not sure if it's a tablet or a computer, but as a tablet I prefer it to the iPad. Well in terms of resolution, it does have a terrible screen. In terms of resulution, it has a lower DPI than other screens. That doesn't make it a terrible screen though. My girlfriend has an iPad 3 and she recently told me that my Surface RT has a nicer looking screen.
migo
W700 based on i3_2375M is much cheaper than Surface pro(around 400 Euros cheaper) since it was 600 Euros, and no it does not get too hot, for things You can do while holding it, it is warmish. You can feel it is warmer than Your hands, but that is it. This version does not come with that clunky dock, which was the main negative point of reviewers all around for Iconia, instead it comes with a keyboard attached leathery sleeve, which is rather nice. 600 Euros is still pretty damn expensive. That puts it in a different price category entirely from the likes of the Nexus 10, Note 10.1 and iPad lightning. Surface RT screen is fine, it's not terrible, it's just 1366x768. That does't make it terrible. And Surface Pro I get 5-6 hours of battery, that's pretty good for a Core i5 level system. At that price, it is. You can get a Nexus 10 for cheaper and an iPad retina for the same price with far better screens. At $200 less, the Surface RT screen is fine. The Samsung Chromebook has a low resolution screen, but it only costs $250.
ichi
Unless you really want a 10" tablet I'd go for the Nexus7, it's damn cheap and really good. My tablet usage at least doesn't justify spending over ?300 and the Nexus7 fits that budget nicely with no compromises on quality or performance, so that's what I bought. migo
Yes, it has a low-ish pixel density, but Cleartype makes it look fantastic. It only starts looking bad if I hold it 6 inches from my face, at arm's length it looks very sharp, maybe not "Retina" sharp but it's far from bad. ClearType is great, yes... for text. Not everything is text.
Dashel
You still tragically underestimate the RT's screen, nor is resolution the sole deciding factor in what makes a good device (talk about your MHz myths). Chromebooks, lol. I thought we were talking slates. Whats next, laptops are also $200 too much because you think they have 'terrible' screens too? Laughable. Actually, text is the primary beneficiary of having those 'retina' screens.
migo
I've handled the RT. I'm not underestimating. It's just not good for the price.
REM2000
I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 and it's a really great tablet, very versatile, very fast and the pen input is really handy. It's had a Jelly Bean update and is a really smooth device. webeagle12 1 Share
