Sir Topham Hatt
If I was looking to get a Surface, would it be better to get a 32 or 64 GB version? 32GB: ?479 64GB: ?559 I haven't owned a tablet before, let alone a Windows 8 device. My current phone is a Galaxy Nexus, currently with ~8GB free (out of 13 usable). I rarely watch movies or listen to music on my phone and am happy not having my entire movie catalogue on the tablet. My first thoughts was bigger would be better but I don't know if it's really worth the money when I am more than likely not going to use it. I guess it depends how long I expect it to last as I expect apps will only get bigger. Thanks for your input!
1ON
I went for a 32GB and slotted in a ?15 micro SD card! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SAM-SUNG-32GB-Micro-SD-SDHC-MicroSD-Memory-Card-32-GB-/230841415105?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_PDAsAccessories_MemoryCards&hash=item35bf3875c1 Enjoy! slysy
Remember that apps won't install to microSD. Could be a big problem on the 32GB Surface if you are going to use it for gaming
Xerxes
I vote 64Gb version. Reason being >> Surface RT: The 32 GB version has approximately 15 GB free hard disk space. The 64 GB version has approximately 44 GB free hard disk space. Surface Pro: The 64 GB version has approximately 29 GB free hard disk space. The 128 GB version has approximately 89 GB free hard disk space. Source > Microsoft 15Gb is not really enough for a tablet in my opinion, I have an Android tablet with only 16Gb (~12Gb usable) and that fills up fast and I don't really have that much on it either. Dutchie64
Just add a 64Gb SD card, and change the path for the apps to the card. Have a Google/Bing to see what you have to do. Also, have a Google/Bing too about how to add Music/Photo's & Video to show up in the Metro apps when they're on the SD card.
+InsaneNutter MVC Posted April 12, 2013 MVC Share Posted April 12, 2013 I would go for the 32gig Surface, I dont think ?80+ for an extra 32gig of space is worth it. The majority of the apps and games on the Windows store are small. I dont think your going to be filling it up the internal storage with app installs anytime soon, If you want to store a lot of media on it then just use an SD card. Arachno 1D
Go for the larger unit as per the reasons above and the resale value will hold better for a bigger memory.
techbeck
64gb....considering the space the OS and apps take up. I would opt for the 128gb model myself. And is this RT or Pro? I vote 64Gb version. Reason being >> Surface RT: The 32 GB version has approximately 15 GB free hard disk space. The 64 GB version has approximately 44 GB free hard disk space. Yea, I would do the same.

Sir Topham Hatt
I'll probably go for the larger version, then use an SD card for movies and such as 32GB would be plenty (for the SD card). Thanks for the input :D
primexx
Unless you're installing apps excessively, you won't be filling up 15 GB worth. For files it's much cheaper to buy a microSD card separately. I got the 32GB and i still have 11GB free so haven't even had to get an SD card even. I went for a 32GB and slotted in a ?15 micro SD card! http://www.ebay.co.u...=item35bf3875c1 Enjoy! that card is pretty slow... the fast ones are much more expensive but still cheaper than internal memory :p
