buggingmenot Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 With this new rapid release cycle Microsoft is adopting, it would cause a lot of fragmentation if they charge money for yearly versions of Windows. If the money made from user upgrades is negligible enough, I think they should start releasing every upgrade for free and rely on OEM/Enterprise subscriptions and the Windows Store.
