Tarvis123
Hey guys, I've been trying for two days to download the 8.1 preview from Microsoft Store on my Surface Pro. Everytime I attempt to download it, it is ridiculously slow, but does download until around 40-60% where it will just stop and won't download anymore. If I try to pause and unpause the download, it starts completely over. Even worse, I can't go back to the desktop or let the screen shut off or else it won't download at all and will restart when I go back. It's the same on two entirely different network connections, so I don't think it has anything to do with my connection. So I tried downloading the ISO which I have tried to use to upgrade, but everytime the ISO will BSOD during the middle of the install with the error "process_has_locked_pages". Any ideas on what I can do to get this to work? I am frustrated beyond belief with this update.
badmouse
download the iso make a bootable usb restart + volume down i think the error has something to do with the language pack installed on windows 8. there's a work around for it and where you install the language pack + registry modification. that worked for me on my surface rt cause theres no iso for rt so had to do the update version.
