Descartes
It has come to my attention that the user folder Windows has created for me is no longer named after my full name, but instead it's marci_000. I couldn't find any info about this change, did this happen to everyone else?

Raa
That will happen if your user profile has been corrupted somehow. Windows will create a new one with _000 or .000 after it, depending on the OS version.

Not necessarily true, reinstalled Windows and instead of creating a profile then logging in I just logged in with my MS account and it did the same thing to me
TAZMINATOR
If you upgrade during the installation, the folders will replaced with zeros like mentioned in OP's post. I have those folders from previous installation in this current installation.

SlasherKG
Yes, this is the same as 8 was if you set up using a Microsoft Account right away. If you want the old style user folder, you need to set up a Local Account. You can then sign into the Microsoft Account later on that same profile.
