Yeah, because we hardly ever see stories about how Dogs saved peoples lives. /s

 

I think Dogs are more intelligent than you're giving them credit for. 

being trained to save lives is different then what i mean. If you wish to test it, try it. Lay down in the middle of train track when one is coming. Have the dog you have chosen (yours or someone else's) beside you and see if they try to save you.

Well dogs really look after little kids. However there was one case where a baby was on the floor and the dog lay on top of her to keep her warm but the dog didn't know that it was hurting the baby and sadly the baby died :(  I don't blame the dog though it was only following instinct and protecting the baby.

It's been shown many times, dogs are very protective of small children and pregnant women.
