I guess you didn't find the South Park episode about gingers funny either?

That's irrelevant to the fact that this website doesn't tolerate racism.

I honestly don't get why people care about hair colour so much that they would try to hurt another people over it. :|

You really think that person meant all gingers smell? And he dislikes them all?

Or was it more a try to be funny (you don't have to find it funny off course)

No, but racist jokes are a form of racism, something which is expressly prohibited under the Community Rules. Otherwise it opens the door to people making openly racist statements under the guise of jokes.

One of my football (American style, not the sissy one ;) ) teammates was a ginget - a 6'10" 310lb defensive tackle who was fast. Kicking him would not end well either.

Consult a dictionary.

OK, now what?

You know that the meaning of the word has been widening quite a lot recently right? Just try speaking against the jews...

My body hair is red, but my head hair is Dirty blonde.

Am I like the Mulatto of the hair world?

Will I be persecuted, or am I safe on this kick a ginger day? Or is this only in the UK? ;)

If it's only in the UK, let's hope it doesn't spread to Canada like some of their other 'customs' :p

If you research it you will find out that ginger haired people were burnt on bonfires as people believed them to be witches. Since then ginger people have had a tough time.

Historically some of the favored sacrifices to Osiris were redheads, this because his murderer Typhon was thought to be a red head, then in the Malleus Maleficarum (Hammer of the Witches, 1487) being red headed with green eyes was a sign of being a witch, vampire or werewolf. No doubt some of the current prejudice comes from there.

Last time I checked, Gingers weren't a race.

No, but it is still discrimination.

Well, it could go either way. Only 1-2% of the world population have the recessive gene, but in northern Europe it's 2-3 times as common. In Europe it could be residual prejudice against the invading Norsemen.

Yes but it's a positive form of discrimination.

I'm guessing a ginger did a bad thing against you for you to be so bitter about it.

Stole your dinner money?  Beat you in a race?  Ginger girl dumped you maybe?

Not true.

race (noun)
  1. a group of persons related by common descent or heredity
  2. a population so related

Ginger people share a common ancestry beyond simply hair colour, as genetic traits include a predisposition to pale skin and freckles. Jews are also considered a race despite being incredibly diverse from a genetic perspective. Even if you don't consider it racism it is victimisation, which is also against the Community Rules.
