xWhiplash
I currently have 8GB (4x2GB) of memory in my current Mac Pro and I would like to upgrade it to 16GB or 32 GB (or somewhere in between). I apologize if this is the wrong place for this topic. My current Mac Pro is the 2010 6-Core (so I only have 4 memory slots). Has anybody used OWC memory? What can you say about them? I went to Newegg and looked at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148649&cm_mmc=CNETFindMEMUS-_-20-148-649-_-na-_-na Does that memory kit look good? I am worried there are no reviews to base my decision off of. I am a newbie with ECC memory and server type memory in general (buffered vs unbuffered, and other things). Since I have 4 memory slots, I can leave one slot with the stock Apple memory, and the other three with the Crucial memory right?
