Atomic Wanderer Chicken
There is some tablets from $30 but I am unsure if they'd last very long. I suspect they may be coming from China also, so discretion is advised. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100013687&IsNodeId=1&SrchInDesc=android&name=Android%2DTablets Here's a tablet from TigerDirect for $66 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8532150&CatId=6957
Atomic Wanderer Chicken
This tablet is not dirt cheap like $50, its a good price, considering its full Windows 8 on it http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8567759&CatId=6845
goretsky Supervisor Posted December 5, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted December 5, 2013 Hello, Google Nexus 7, Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Noble Nook all come to mind as good tablets. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
Skiver Veteran Posted December 5, 2013 Veteran Share Posted December 5, 2013 Where abouts do you live? Assuming the US given the above responses. If you are in the UK then Tesco's Hudle seems to be a pretty good cheap tablet, but if your budget can stretch I would agree with the above, Nexus 7 is a brilliant piece of kit. ultimate99
Canada. So an Android device would suffice, not win 8? Because my wife has a win 8 laptop so I thought it would be nice for synchronization.

ultimate99
i've been reading that it doesn't run android apps, even with the workarounds, like Netflix, for example.
macoman
Yup, I have been unable to run netflix on the playbook. I use my Nokia 1520 to watch netflix on my bed. If apps are your priority then the playbook is not the best choice for you.
LambdaLambdaLambdaFn
Budget: CAD 150. If you can stretch to $199, these guys sometimes have Surface RTs with 32G for that price. They don't have any right now, but they probably will again shortly. You'd have to have it shipped to the States, though.
