I know gas prices in EU are expensive but countries such as Germany do not have toll roads except for semi trucks aka lorries. However in France most motorways are toll roads and the price is not cheap! With gas being so expensive as it is how do most people afford to drive every day back and forth from work when you have to pay a toll on top of gas prices. My German friends always complain about gas prices but I tell them at least you do not have to pay a toll on top of gas price like in France!
