I gave a relative an Asus R1F Laptop (http://www.asus.com/...Ultrabooks/R1F/)

It's not new by any means but it's not a bad laptop considering it replaced an ailing HP that i threw together. Issue is, it features a bay that you can insert either a Battery, Hard Drive or DVD Writer into and this one (and many others like it) came with a Battery and i'm having no luck locating the correct model DVD Writer and i can't swap the fascia for another as i don't have the original either!

Help me Neowin, You're my only hope!

if you verify that it actually works and can figure out how I can ship it (from Canada) to you without spending any money (I can't take money by paypal it's not linked to my bank account) I can send you mine. The computer itself recently broke. (PM me if you figure it out, in case I miss this thread)
