Tonicgoofy
why not just use Metro ? its the easiest way to do it. Otherwise if you want to launch it on the desktop, you might need something like Modernmix by stardock

Yes, it is... I NEVER use Metro. I have games in Steam, Origin, Uplay, on their own (no digital distribution program) etc. and now Windows bloody Store. At least with all the others (Steam, Origin etc.), I can create a Games folder on my desktop and put shortcuts from all the games in there. Well, it seems all but Windows Store games -_-

zhangm Supervisor Posted December 25, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted December 25, 2013 You can use OblyTile. Hit the Tile Manager button (folder at the top right), and then Create shortcuts for Windows Apps. Once you drop it on your taskbar or desktop, you should be able to grab the necessary path. zhangm Supervisor Posted December 25, 2013 Supervisor Share Posted December 25, 2013 Did you give yourself write permission in the Program Files folder that OblyTile is attempting to modify?

If you're up for it, you're free to hop on my computer with TeamViewer and check for me? :$

In the mean time, I just checked my folder; gave Full Control to Everyone, since I was lazy. Does yours look like that?

It's on the desktop and I have Full Control over the desktop folder. You need to give your user full control over C:\Program Files\OblyTile; that's where it is trying to save its shortcuts. Make that folder if it doesn't yet exist, or run Oblytile once as admin. If these don't work, you can PM me your Teamviewer details.
