You obviously must not watch the news. Atheist complain about the world god being anywhere, public buildings, statues, our pledge. Oh no, separation of church and state means we can't say god!!! Wahhh wahhhh!

Yes, never mind the fact that they are trying to build a statue of Satan somewhere

In my opinion, you are a perfect example of American mentality because
you are part of the "what do you mean I can't have ten amendments in a court house?!" mentality.
To you USA is a Christian nation and Christians are first class citizens.

For example, the pledge excludes agnostics, atheists, and polytheists.
That doesn't even account for the fact that "god" in the pledge was put in there to mean the Christian god.
Jewish? Hindu? Zoroastrian? Pantheist? Too bad, not represented here.

The US government must stay neutral to religion and lack of religion of any citizen, otherwise that is openly discriminatory.
Thus, the easiest way to accomplish this to dissallow religious material alltogether.
Otherwise, one must allow representation of all religions including Satanism, Islam, and all the stuff that Americans also don't like. Edited by _Alexander

I bet the show will just mock Christians. There will be absolutely nothing shown regarding Islam (too risky).

Yeh, go on, blame the Christians (because they're weak and don't fight back)... Look up the age that 'women' can legally get married at in Islam. Would you be happy to give up your daughter (of that age) if you didn't have a choice?

Go on, say I'm wrong. This is flame bait news.

Don't be absurd. Atheists have probably been the most critical is of Islam.

It never cease to amaze me how many Christians suffer from Jihad envy. Do you want Christians to be more violent and psychotic when it comes to defending the faith?

Astonishingly, a previous poll by Pew suggested respondents in the US regarded atheists as less trustworthy than rapists.

Not that astonishing, theists have ran an anti-atheist campaign for millenia.

There's nothing wrong with having an open mind, just not so open that your brain falls out! :p

Every one is actually part atheist, an atheist is someone who doesn't believe there is enough evidence to prove a god claim. Christians don't believe in thor, allah, mistra (etc) because of lack of evidence. Muslims don't believe in thor yaweh, zues, (etc) because of lack of evidence... and so on and so on. Full atheists simply take it one modern god further and say "all" gods don't have enough evidence to be true.

you should set a goal in life to believe as many truths as you can and not believe as many lies you can.

I can't edit it now, but I meant be critical of Islam and not be called intolerant (probably because most American Atheist are intolerant of all religions).

Some fantasies I like, most not religion. I do however with that the Stargate was real, or that Atlantis (as depicted in Stargate) is real.

Why be critical just of Islam and not all the other silly versions of the same thing?

I've been an atheist since at least junior high. went to catholic school (k-12). my parents and family are religious. my neighbors were religious. everyone i knew was religious. never felt any sort of stigma or anything like that though.

To be fair, atheists have been mind-raping theists for just as long.

Whut?  Mind raping?

I think you mean, Atheists have been telling theists to stop trying to force their beliefs down everyone's throats for just as long, which is still wrong anyway as they haven't.

If they'd tried doing that sort of thing centuries ago, they'd have been killed (and often were).

See, it's funny that theists call atheists intolerant for criticizing their religion yet when things go the other way around they just say "hey why would you care if we say that you'll be going to hell if you don't believe in it"?.

Ok, so why would you care if I say that your beliefs are bogus if you'll be still believing? It works both ways.

Criticism is not intolerance. It would be intolerance if we were in the opposite situation as atheists are in Saudi Arabia where they are considered terrorists, or if atheists were proposing the prosecution and imprisonment of theists.

The intention of American atheists (or atheists in general) is not to give theists less privileges than everyone else, but rather remove the exceptional privileges they (some of them actually) have over everyone else.

Just found this today.

DFWCoR - Dallas Ft.Worth Coalition of Reason

A website that puts together all atheist groups in North Texas

nearly 50 million atheists in US according to them.   (1 in 6)

How so? I think a lot of people avoid it because of 2 reasons: 1. Islamic fanatics have a nasty habit of using violence against critics & 2. cowardly liberals have helped turned criticism of Islam into a race issue instead of an ideology issue.

Anecdotally, some of the most fanatical Muslims I've met have been white converts. The criticism is about the belief itself so it doesn't evaporate against a white convert.
