Why are they real?

They may or may not be.

 

The message seems rather complicated for just a hoax.

 

Scientists would certainly play around with creating alternate life forms if given the chance.

 

The video isn't very clear.

 

I don't understand the knee-jerk assumption that it 'has to be fake'.

 

Not a very scientific view.
