As such, users running the likes of Ubuntu and Arch Linux have had more ready access to streaming content on their phones and TVs than on their computers. But now, after seven long years, Netflix is finally and officially making its way to Linux.

Wait, you mean Desktop Linux is finally getting HTML5 support, right?

It means that besides Netflix no longer requiring silverlight, Linux users also won't have to fake their user agent to bypass the artificial filter for html5 playback on EME capable browsers (ie. Chrome).

Netflix has been working from day one of their switch to html5 if you set the browser to pretend being a Windows version.
