nukenorman
So I have a Samsung Tab 3 8 inch barely used. Bought it when it was refurbished just a few months ago When I bought it before I did the software update the battery did not drain so fast. Then I did update for the android system to Kit Kat and now my battery in just 5 hours of Idle not using it at all drains to 80 percent! that's 20 percent in only 5 hours just idle with screen off.Can someone help me with this? This is just ridiculous!!
Mandosis
Seems like there is a bug causing the battery drain. You might want to check the battery section the settings to see whats causing the drain. If its the ROM itself you may want to look into either downgrading it to the previous version or looking at a custom ROM such as CyanogenMod to improve battery life. And if its an app you may want to consider uninstalling it if possible.
+InsaneNutter MVC Posted October 5, 2014 MVC Share Posted October 5, 2014 Go in to settings > battery What has been using the most battery when the tablet has been idle for a few hours? it sounds like you have an application installed that's not letting the tablet sleep. If you have root access you can also use Wakelock Detector to see how many times a certain process has woken your device up, or simply kept it awake.
