I have just checked the new version on windows.... as expected, it is not fast at all, and still have all the sync problems.. i really don't see much much improvement. itunes are only good on macs. they never had a good version on windows, and it looks like this one is not different. improves one thing, screws up another. too bad really, since many iphone users are also windows users.
