Arachno 1D
As reported on The registry BT Broadband has finally admitted having technical issues for the last four days [personally for two weeks now] which seems to me to be related to DNS issues though BT seem to be at a loss at this time to fix the issue. Many users are reporting a complete lack of ability to play game or watch video and slow repetitive connection issues to many European and international websites requiring the reloading of pages several times.BT support script monkeys seem to be using the same tactic as usual asking users to reboot routers etc to no avail with no admission of failure on BTs part. This only a week after Yahoo/BT email servers had similar connection issues.https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity-Speed-Connection/BT-Infinity-issues-for-the-last-few-days/td-p/1420828 http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/12/12/bt_infinity_working_to_fix_the_problem_after_three_days_of_outages/ Aergan 1 Share
Aergan
I had to switch to OpenDNS from Google's Public DNS servers as some sites were not resolving (e.g. gmail.com, googlemail.com). BT's DNS servers resembled their usual pear-shaped state when I was trying those as a test yesterday. I don't use their router equipment, just the OpenReach modem though. Speeds are fine (if you call 19.5Mbit for the price of 72Mbit fine) at the moment.
jakem1
If I never have to deal with BT support (or any other department for that matter) again it will be too soon. After years of putting up with their crap I cancelled my landline and internet and vowed never to buy anything from them ever again. Life is much easier without BT - they're the worst company I've ever had to deal with.
