Speak the British version in the U.S. and you'll look equally foolish as using the American version there. I never heard that before... looked it up and littearly the only thing that came back was Japanese porn what the hell did you use to look it up? i just googled NIPON, and i got 2 pages of results with different people with this last name, and a few companies (also with first line being a suggestion to search for nippon instead) bing gives even more varied results too. again, nothing related to porn, and a lot of nippon suggestions. it is very very strange that you get japanese porn instead. do you search for a lot of porn in search engines???
