Visiting NY in February - shopping plans?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Planned to make my fist visit in New York on February this year. I'm sure I'll be surprised by all that's visible and unvisible out there but I'd like also to make a shopping plan (IT components mainly) for their stores.. since I've heard that period is good for this!

Any recommended it shops for this or..even places to visit ?

Thanks! :)

Places to visit, coolness factor is the Intrepid Museum.  Metropolitan is ok, so is the Museum of Natural History.  Times Square is a nice time (lots of food), I don't have a favorite place.  Empire State is a fun place.  Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are both good tourist spots.

If you take the Path train over to Hoboken.  Check out the Beer Garden there, lots of good stuff (if you watch any of the food network, Cake bosses business is there too....their pastries and goodies are ok, nothing to write home about).

Back in NYC, toysrus is fun.  Check out Sacks 5th Ave (it may break your bank account by walking by though).  Tech wise you can walk into bestbuy and check out electronics there, they are legit so no haggling there...the side streets have some small stores you can usually haggle in there.

One of my favorite places for night life is webster hall.  Each floor has a different type of music genera.  Been years since I have been (pre kids).

Tech stuff, I usually buy online from amazon/newegg, since you can usually find some good rebates and have them deliver to where ever you are, even in hotels.
