Or at least take into account the road and weather conditions before you do. And for God's sakes don't just stand by your car either. Go stand in a ditch or something. The police will call them heroes and say all the right things, but in reality, it was frankly stupid for the mom to put her 10-year-old at risk on a frickin' icy roadway with semis roaring by. At night! We all know most folks drive too fast for the conditions. Sorry, just being honest. Senseless deaths.
