compl3x Posted April 5, 2015 Share Posted April 5, 2015 Hearing about the shortages of Amiibos in the US made me wonder whether the Japanese versions could be usable with a US Wii U. Well, they can and Japan seemingly has a surplus of the figures too. While there were reports of US Amiibos being region free last year, there was no confirmation that the same could be said for the Japanese versions. So I went out and nabbed a Luigi to test him on my US Wii U (shown above).
