July Update!

- Got rid of a buzzing LED bias lighting and got a desk lamp instead.
- Few new desk accessories, mouse pad, wall clock.
- Got the wireless adapter for my Xbox One controller.
- Raised the case from the ground and got some fan filters to try and control dust!

nice! How do you like the monitor? Curious why not an ultra-wide if you like high resolution displays?

I love it. The only thing I wish I had is a nice 144Hz refresh rate (specially with gaming), but again an IPS WQHD monitor with such refresh rate is way out of the budget I had. Not a fan or have a use for the ultra-wide format.

I guess size doesn't matter... :-p

I just bought a 1080p 27" monitor, it's nice, but not as crisp as I'd like it to be. Probably will return it and shell out more for a 1440p one.

I wouldn't go larger than 20-24"for 1080 on a computer, 1440 or more at that size and other than ultrawide, you can get decent 1440/1600p screens for decent prices, as long as you aren't scared of going for non major brands

Yeah 1080p is too little for a 27". Get an IPS 1440p 25"-27" and you would thank yourself. If you have the budget go with a 144Hz one like the ASUS PG279Q and never look back :D

I got some stands to get my monitor (speakers) off my desk, and some brackets to make use of the 2 24" screens I had doing nothing,  I replaced them with the 40" 4k, but figured I may as well put them to use

Treated myself to a new K360 Keyboard and M510 Mouse, the same as the ones I had but they are 5+ years old now, love them but wanted fresh ones.

Also showing off my Dell XPS 13 I've had for a few months and love, best laptop ever in terms of portability, power, and usable screen balance.

Next on the list for this setup is the 10" KRK Sub to match my speakers.

Weird angle shot, because there isn't enough space behind me to get it all into a picture easily ...

Nice. What's running on the tablet?

It's Roccat Power Grid, gives me system stats, teamspeak/skype notifications and handy game commands.

Nice, I'd been looking for something like this for a while.

I've got Logitech Arx

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-gb/articles/arx-control

as I've got Logitech KB and Mouse, which is OK, but it's far more limited app, no customised skins and the like, just macro/hotkeys and some basic system moniroting.

This is my man cave and my place of work (at home)

I Rebuilt my Pc in October.

i7 Skylake, 32gb DDR4, 512gb NVME drive etc, very little to actualy take a picture of once its built.

In January I got myself a few new Christmas presents for it ...

The PHILIPS Brilliance BDM4065UC Ultra HD 40" LED Monitor, and I finally got a sound output worthy of my Rokit 8 Monitor speakers, a USB soundblaster X-fi coupled with a Musical Fidelity V90 DAC .  Wish you could hear how good it sounds,  next on my list is the KRK Rokit matching Studio Subwoofer, there's plenty of punchy mid-bass, but it would be nice to get the sub-bass too.

Pictures ...

My Desk now ...

The Creative Soundblaster thingy (TBH this serves as a volume knob and gives a clean optical out, its other features are unused)..

My 2 old Monitors are behind, I was thinking I may get 2 monitor arms and put them either side of my new one in Portrait orientation.

USB Hub/ Phone/ Printer / Paperwork etc zzzz
