Tbh mate my rigs not really capable of high res gaming past 1080p i dont use my monitor(s) for work or my home equipment, if anything i use my Precision 17" laptop from work or the surface pro4 at a push with display dock. im a 4 monitor guy at work but i rarely used 2 at home when i ran multi-monitor setup, if anything ill maybe go ultrawide before another multi-setup for home use.

This is just my gamesbox.

I never have used more than one monitor, LG has a 34 inch ultra wide, but I would have to take the top part of my desk off and make it sort of look like yours,

the gamesbox here is for media consumption for me really and gaming. 

 

4 or more screens working is very productive (im running 4x27 1080ps + 17" 1080p laptop screen {solar winds output} at work), but im remoting into various servers/VM consoles etc, its perfect to have 1 instance per screen, id take another 2 if my dock n precision would take it, 4 is its max i think.

Probs most my desk can take anyways. 

 

Misco are selling my X201 model for around £150 with w10 installed (refurb) sorely tempted to buy another to use on the docks and as a kodi box in general. up it to 8Gb ddr3 and whack in a cheap ssd and you got a perfect 12.1" surfing/media consumption device with 1080p Display port output. 3-4hours on battery with an SSD is reality. The last of the IBM designed and built Thinkpads......butt ugly (to some, i have fallen big time for its retro rugged feel) but built like brick ****houses to boot.

 

In work life this saw me accidentally sitting on it powered on and lid closed, accidentally dropped and skidded across a couple of server room floors, survived the lot with hardly a scratch. a life of abuse inside rears of comms cabinets, server stacks and general office duties, its served me well and still does (at home) couldnt bear to send it for recycling.
