Borbus
I want to make a credit sequence like the ones at the end of the matrix trilogy but I have absolutely no idea how or where to start. I have Premiere which has some title features but it doesn't seem that good. I am pretty competent with Flash but no other animation programmes. Obviously I need to be able to turn them into some kind of video format compatible with premiere or vegas. Thanks in advance!

malebolgia Veteran Posted January 21, 2004 Veteran Share Posted January 21, 2004 But can Flash export in a format compatible with Premiere? You can export flash to just about anything .mov and even .avi I think. I'm at work so I don't have access to Flash but I'm pretty sure about the .mov

No one really reads it they just put it there because of convention I suppose.
jasondefaoite
Problem with Flash MX exporting to avi is the resolution, limited to a max of 640x480, not good if you intend your avi to end up on a DVD (PAL or NTSC). Is this limitation still there with MX 2004?
Borbus
In that case Flash is not what I am looking for because I want it for DVD quality video Has anybody else got any suggestions? What do they use in the industry?
Techo
You can also use After Effects, a lot more cool plugins are available to give you that extra edge. Didn't try this using Premiere but you try to can create a bmp or whatever of the credits, like a scroll, and just pan down the image, that can give you a scrolling kind of look. If you're using Vegas I saw some free files to help you achieve some nice looking credits, haven't tried them though. Don't have vegas. http://www.sundancemediagroup.com/help/thefile.html Edited January 31, 2004 by Techo
