rekr321
This is a weird problem, my friend has just instaled Windows XP. For the first day everything ran smoothly. Starting yesterday he has this weird startup problem. If he shuts down windows the correct way(Start Button->Turn Off Computer) the next time he starts his computer it will just sit there on the Windows XP screen and scroll the blue bar forever. Now if he holds in the power button for 4 secs and hard shuts off the computer he can turn it on no problem. He hasn't installed any new software besides Adobe Acrobat Reader 5. I have no idea whats going on with his computer. Truman
I have a feeling it could be a driver problem. I installed an audio driver off the windows update site and whenever the computer was rebooted it would hang on the windows xp boot screen and the bar would stop and everything. But if the computer was shut down and the switched on again it would boot fine. Try uninstalling an drivers that you got off the win update site or looking for updates, but i think it is a driver problem.
