soap Posted April 28, 2002 Share Posted April 28, 2002 The last time i played CS was the release of 1.1. I've been playing since the very early betas on and off. But when the number of cheaters sky rocketed between 1.0 and 1.1 i gave up. First the netgamesuk servers became swamped with cheaters and then barrysworld and jolt. All the fun of the game from god was lost. I found other games to play instead. So, when i heard that cs 1.4 had been released with anti cheat protection i downloaded the upgrade and ran to the nearest jolt server. I played for over 2 hours trying to get used to the crap guns and the horrible jumping. While dead i was watching one guy that was certainly wallhacking but when I confronted him, he and the rest of the guys online swore that cheats no longer worked in 1.4 and that i was a whining cry baby. Whatever. So I put wallhack into google and out popped flautzwh - an opengl hooker. i fired it up and reconnected to jolt. Jolt did all the usual cheat detection processeses, scanned my hard disks and then a few seconds later i was in the game with wallhack turned on with fullbright and the sky removed. Now i can't say i'm proud of what i did, but i had to check. I really wanted to like CS again, and i'm sure that condition zero is going to be big but i just can't play the game now knowing that people are still wallhacking away to their hearts content, laughing at all of us who wanted the game to play evenly and to actually appreciate someone as well as be appreciated if you have some skill. I can't understand what kind of satisfaction they can possibly derive out of cheating at a game. There is no skill involved, and it only goes to show your lack of, if you do cheat. Faction Posted April 28, 2002 Share Posted April 28, 2002 Yeah, im not a cheater, to set that strait, but i palyed 1.4 and first day i was suspicious of someone cheating. so i looked around, took me 2 minutes to find "1.4 wallhack" . i doubted it would work, so i tried it. guess what. it did. ****ing pathetic. Cheats cannot change your health, ammount of ammo, or power of ammo, because its all controlled server-side. Therfor the reason there are no invinCibility hacks or inf ammo hacks, and the only way you can, is with admin mod, [which controls the server]. im sure you get it.
