ESCORT COSWORTH!!!!!!!!  its only available in Europe lol

And was last made 11 years ago... It was built very badly (the trim in Escorts was well known to self destruct in no time at all), and any surviving ones that haven't been stolen or crashed will be modded by idiots, or owned by anal morons who think they are worth about ninety times what they are actually worth (and possibly clean the inside of the exhaust with a toothbrush...)

for people still intarested in the rx-8, this is a cool vid Mazda did

http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displayPag...geParameter=bod

click on the race track on the left side

then click on the person above the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca sign. the person has a blue jewel above there head. these 2 videos, are Conrad Grunewald. if you are into drifting, he competes in formula D, drives a 240 spnocerd mainly by Falken. got second place in houston a little while back.

the first vid has good info about basic driving

the track vid is a little misleading because its multiple laps edited together. some shots are of his out lap (fairly slow) and other shots of his two flyers (fast laps). his turn 9 is sick, almost nocked down the camera man he was so close to the track-out.

this is really just a shamless plug, cuz Conrad is my cousin, and dosent get enough plublicity. hehe

for what? at any point in time? its posible. he hasent owned one, or drifted one in competition as far as i know. but considering the amount of car related events he does for work, it wouldent suprise me.

Because I was reading an article in a magazine about someone who competed in drifting in a 240z and an RX3 and who had done some training videos for Mazda, which I thought was him. Obviously it was someone altogether more famous. :p

disapointing, but probably true.

there is a large amount of people who drift "or attempt to drift" 240's/silvias

^ HaHa .... doesn't matter how many letters or types or specs.  The civic is just a family car.

586362313

Yeah a family car of 0 to 60 in 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 147mph all from a 2 litre engine.

With a comment like yours you definately have not drive a Civic or Integra Type R.

hmm that gear shifter is in a weird place. does it work the same as a normal one?

586373602

It feels so natural in that position and its rated as having one of the best 6 speed gear boxes going as well.

Those are both current Type-R Civics. Just one is higher specced inside.

The gear change is the same as a normal floor mounted one, yes.

Nope the first pocture was the older JDM version which now looks like the picture I posted and so does the UK spec'd one.

Sorry to keep posting about the Civic Type R but since buying one I can't rate them enough, they are a very good car for the money.

hmm my dad went to the second hand car shop and wants to get a volvo s80 t6 which costs the same as a merc c180 . i can't complain much about the car since it has a twin turbo 2.9L 272bhp engine with the works. all this while i was so concerned about fuel economy for him and now he wants a petrol drinking car. why do i even bother.

he believes the manufacturers claim that it consume 11.3L/100km even when his saab takes 11.1-12.4L/100km and thats only a 2L light pressure turbo car. i bet he'll be going to the petrol kiosk twice every week.
