BananaMan Posted July 6, 2002 Share Posted July 6, 2002 Hey, A thread I had posted icons in was deleted (or marked hidden, not sure what the proper term for it is) yesterday with a warning in my PM stating that it is against board rules to post unauthorised screenshots of icons. I chatted to that particular moderator about his decision and he restored it. Dazzla then kindly pointed out that something I had said (I said I would e-mail icons to jsutton, I hadn't obtained authorisation for the ported icons yet). I sincerely apologised about the comment and explained that I meant no wrong-doing. It WAS a dumb thing to say. Anyway, an hour later I got e-mails back from the authors I ported icons from with permission to release, so I did. After I posted them, I went to bed. I woke up this morning to find the thread gone again, but this time without anything in my PM explaining why. I didn't want to hassle mods by PM again, so I thought I'd just post here. By the way, again, I want to state that I really am sorry for that comment, I honestly meant nothing bad by it. I would really appreciate a moderator posting in here or getting in touch with me by PM about this, if I have done something wrong again I'd like to know what it is, y'know? The mod that removed your thread was probably a different mod that did not know about the situation. If you PM a mod, you will find an answer. I deleted it but i didn't get a confirmation page..the browser just went 404 on me (Neowin was running slow this afternoon @4:00 cst), so I back-tracked the browser and assumed since I didn't have confirmation I should wait to delete...if that makes sense. Turns out that even though I never made it to the confirmation page, the thread was deleted. So that's why you didn't get a PM-> I didn't follow up. May I ask, was I reported again or was it the same report that got it shut down the first time? If it was another report, what was I reported for? Hey, I really appreciate your kind comments. I was a little worried that people had lost some respect in me because of the mishap in the other thread. I hate rippers, and ripping for that matter, and I was really worried when my thread was reported for that slip of the tongue that it might of given off the impression that I'm a casual ripper, when that's not the case at all. To hear you say that puts me at ease. (god I sound mushy, lol :rolleyes: ) Go ahead and post it then Okie dokie.
