What does NeoWin bother posting stories from the Register?

Recommended Posts

Out of 100+ stories from the Register, I can't think of one in which it was a good use of my time to read.....

I think the staff at NeoWin should have a higher standard for linking to news content....

Just my 2 cents....

They are kinda biased, but they still do a good job at tech news IMO.

Plus, this should be in Site and Forum Issues.

Also, degrading the newsposters is a no-no around here.

The point these people are trying to make here is that bashing the mods and newsposters is not tolerated around here.

We all love our mods and newsposters! :D :D And we defend them.

if you dont like the stories that are posted on the site, then dont bother comming here because putting something on the site that bashes the site is pointless and we dont want people like you doing that.

Here's how it works:

I spend quite a large chunk of my time online searching for news items that are pertinent, interesting and generally news worthy enough to be mad up into a front page news post on Neowin.

Now and again I post a story sourced at the Reg.

Eg: Win2k out the window in 9 months

At the time of writing this post of mine has garnered 33 comments, so I consider it to be a successful post. (One of my criteria for posting is whether members will feel like reading it and then make a response.)

Neowin newsposters do not post blindly: We post good items and will stand by our news policies.

Out of 100+ stories from the Register, I can't think of one in which it was a good use of my time to read
Due to one of our policies - namely linking - you can see where it came from, and therefore please feel free not to read it.

I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but I guess we can't please everyone all of the time.

Moved to Site and Forum Issues
