Buildings near the Capitol building were rumored to be evacuated. A bomb squad has been called in to investingate the suspicious package. Authorities are doubtful that a real bomb exists, and are not clearing out the US Capitol building. A police press conference is expected shortly. There is a heavy police presence and some streets have been blocked off from traffic. A nearby office building at Constitution Avenue and Louisiana Street is being evacuated at the order of Capitol Hill police.
