Davie
Hi all, I am going plane spotting at the airport tomorrow and I have an Olympus C370 Zoom. Seeing I will be taking a lot of photos over a period of time would leaving the camera on standby in between taking photos or switching the camera on and then off save more battery? What are some tips for sustaining battery life for as long as possible? Overall my camera swallows battery life pretty fast, and I am using rechargable 2100mAh 1.2v Nim H batterys. Thanks Dave
zhangm Supervisor Posted January 2, 2006 Supervisor Share Posted January 2, 2006 At least with DV camcorders, battery life can be extended drastically by turning off the LCD preview screen. Should work in principle with digital cameras also.
Jackalo
Yeah, turning off the LCD screen is your best bet at sustaining battery life.
Davie
Unfortunatly my camera does not have a view finder so I suppose that is not really an option. I know that 30 seconds of inactivity causes screen to go blank while its on stanby which would help but it cant be turned off perminently.
