Nintendo to Nintendo Consoles/Handhelds
Sony to Sony Playstation/Handhelds
Microsoft to Microsoft Xbox

is it possible?

I don't see the point. It would be redundant... Neowin.net > Gamers' Hangout > Console Gamer > (Insert Brand Here) Consoles/Handhelds. You don't need the word consoles in there multiple times as it is already specified in the parent forum. Handheld units are still consoles, the xbox is a console, etc. What if Sony suddenly decides to rename PS3 to "generic entertainment device"?

I also think it's best to leave it the way it is, and I think the Admins decided on the current names specifically with the thought of future proofing it. This prevents having to rename it or edit it when new consoles come out from the companies. This allows the current names to stay regardless of the consoles' names will actually be. With the current names, Microsoft accounts for Xbox and Xbox 360; Sony accounts for Playstation, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, and PSP. Nintendo accounts for N64, GameCube, Revolution, every iteration of Game Boy, as well as all of the past consoles they have released. While this could bring about requests for Sega or Atari sections (as well as others), it is also intended to be forward-looking, and that cannot happen with separate sections for Sega, Atari, etc.

In short, it works best the way it appears now.
