Z3r0
Ok, long story short The PSC 1215 is a printer/scanner Printer/scanner worked under linux, printer refused to work under windows, scanner worked under windows The only error was a generic "system error" informing me that I should try rebooting I was baffled I assumed linux had caused the demise of my printer (as has been the case a while back) But I was wrong! I had enabled DEP (Data Execution Prevention) a while back and apparently it needs to be configured for the printer too! Well I have disabled it and now my printer is working! Rejoice :) Disable DEP for this file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hpzeng07.exe Additionally it may be worth disabling DEP for any other files HP files in memory if this doesn't work For my printer this is: hpoevm08.exe hpohmr08.exe hpotdd01.exe HPZipm12.exe Here is where I found the info (bottom post) http://www.techspot.com/vb/all/windows/t-2...ox-scanner.html
