Nothing, XP is still MS's latest OS. Interesting as I purchased a computer with xp home installed on it in September 2001 so me thinks it's older. Maybe the 25th October 2001 is the retail store release date.
Tech_Dude_5000
I thought it was nice for new yorkers to still have the launch even after the tragic events a month earler. wonder where vista will be held and if they are gonna do another windows 95 theme ( with a song and crazy people ) anyway happy birthday XP ! :D Interesting as I purchased a computer with xp home installed on it in September 2001 so me thinks it's older. Maybe the 25th October 2001 is the retail store release date. I remember I was in best buy around that time. over half the other PCs had Windows ME, but there was this one that had XP and at first i didnt knoiw what it was, with the luna UI and everything then i red the card and it said Windows XP home edition preinstalled. So the OEM might have gotten it out sonner.
