Mario Kart to be release on Gamecube

Nintendo today announced a revised release schedule for 2003 and the quality line-up is enough to bring a tear to your eye. We want it all and we want it now but we're gonna have to wait until the following dates for Ninty's gaming jewels.

The big Gamecube titles coming in 2003 are Super Monkey Ball 2, Resident Evil 0, Metroid Prime, Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Enter the Matrix, Wario World, F-Zero, Mario Golf, 1080 Avalanche and Mario Kart.

Nintendo have been criticised in some quarters for not having as strong a Gamecube line-up as they should have had from launch to Christmas. To be frank, it's hard to disagree with that view.

However, looking at the titles above (and presuming they arrive on time) indicates that 2003 is going to be a huge year for Gamecube releases, with some of the best loved titles - such as Zelda and Mario Kart - finally seeing daylight. Below you'll find a list of release dates for Gamecube titles that should satisfy just about any gamer's tastes.

One Gamecube title that should get special mention is Phantasy Star Online (out 7 March), as this will be the first online title released for the machine. While the game doesn't come bundled with a modem - as it did when it was released in the US and Japan - Nintendo will be releasing a Cube modem separately on the same day.
