BTallack
After several downloads and burning of the Red Hat 8 Disc 1, I was finally able to create a CD that passed the Linux Install Self-Test. Now installing this using only the default Personal PC setting, When it attempts to install, it gets to 100% of "Transferring install image to hard drive..." then freezes. Mouse moves, but that's all. The computer has two hard drives, one of which that is dedicated solely to Linux. System Specs 10GB HD - Windows XP 8GB HD - Linux Duron 600 512mb RAM Matrox G400
dmd3x
Did you download it w/o pausing? Try different mirrors too. Or - if you go to LAN parties, ask around for RedHat disks next time you go to one. I got my RedHat 8.0 CDs at a LAN party.

Tran
Hey same thing happened to me! It turned out that I didn't give Linux RH enough space (only 6 Gigs). You might wanna try and give it more. I'm planning to install RedHat8 on a 10 gig partition and see how it goes.
BTallack
I managed to get it installed by using the command "pci=off" at the install prompt. (linux pci=off) Thx for the suggestions everyone.
