Nipun Mohta
Intel and ASUS want you lot to collaborate and design their next notebook. It's called the WePC project, and even though it screams "gimmick," it might actually turn out to be something worthwhile. The idea is simple enough, too. You go to the site, describe your dream PC--netbook, notebook or gaming notebook--and cook up a design for all to see. If your design is chosen, ASUS will build it, and Intel (who else?) will stick its processors in it. Obviously, promoting this venture involves praising the community--never know where a good idea can come from and all that. But seriously--given the dreams we have of portable computing, it's hardly likely we'll come up with a concept that's actually feasible. Still, we'll be watching this with considerable interest. Considerable interest indeed. Source
